Lee Plaza one rainy day
Taken with my Moto G (2014)

Lee Plaza is a gorgeous abandoned building in Detroit. On a trip to the city with some friends I took a bunch of pictures, almost entirely forgot about them, then came across them again whilst digging through the Photos app looking for something that might fit the height theme. We didn't get to go inside, but those who have report that it's been smashed up and almost completely gutted by vandals, much like the Packard Plant, which I have explored. As you can see, every single window is gone, and there are stories on the Internet about decorative elements that were stolen from the building and which then turned up as part of new development elsewhere. Even stripped bare it's still a beautiful building, whose fate is all too common in Detroit.

The sky looks blue on the sides, but I assure you it was cloudy and raining. Other than that, this is a pretty decent result for a phone less than $200. I'm sure my current Nexus 5X would have done better, but the Moto G has nothing to be embarrassed about.

Inside the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. I was in Atlanta for a conference this October but was staying in another hotel. This place looked pretty freaking tall on the outside from where I was staying. Out of curiosity I went inside the hotel, looked up and the view blew my mind. I took this photo with a Note 5 that I had recently upgraded to from a HTC One m8. I don't recall doing any editing as I was still getting the hang of using the Note5.

Here's a picture I took yesterday on my drive home from work. Some where between Sulphur, LA & Vinton, LA. Taken with a Nexus 6p.
