Android Central Photo Contest: Refreshment

When we think of "refreshment" it's usually in relation to a nice cool drink, perhaps on a sunny day, but that doesn't mean this photo contest needs to be tied down to just pictures of your glass. Try to go outside the box and think of more things that are refreshing than just that beer or lemonade you're enjoying (though we'd love to see those, too!). We can't wait to see the entries this week, and so long as they fit the prompt they'll be eligible for a prize.

This contest has two winning spots available, and each winning photo will bring the photographer a TYLT VU Qi Wireless Charging Car Mount!

Entering is easy. Just drop your entry in a post below. Tell us what Android you used to get the picture, and any back story you want to add to it. We'll pick a winner Tuesday (May 6) night at 11:59 PM ET, and announce them on the blog with next Wednesday's contest.

• Pictures must be taken with an Android device
• Pictures must be uploaded to the contest thread. I'm not running all over the Internet to track them down.
• You have to tell us what device you used to take the picture, and any special software you might have used. Editing your pictures is fine — this is art.
• Feel free to add a little back story — we want to know how the picture came to be.
• You must have used a valid email address to register here at AC, so I know how to contact the winner.
• Only one entry per week per person.

Download tapatalk and try that. That's what I use and it works well for me. I've never been able to get the AC app to work with uploading pics either.

So to start, I'm a big IPA fan and last month I was on a trip in Scandinavia for two weeks. There with my family and in-laws, of which none really enjoy a beer, in fact only my wife drinks at all and even then it's a glass of wine here or there. So it wasn't an ideal situation to go out and try a couple of local brews or even have a few with dinner. So after 12 days in search of a go-to IPA, I had resigned myself to continuous failures in IPA imbibing until I came across this UL FUR IPA in Reykjavík in a soup restaurant. It was pretty spectacular so I took a picture with my Note 2. Awesome beer and amazing trip. I took the Northern Lights photo later that night (not with my phone, but my phone was in my pocket keeping my hands warm).

I took this photo of some radishes at the local market near my home. A glass of cola or beer might be good options for refreshment... But you need to try this out... Just cut some slices and enjoy.

This pic was taken with an EVO 4G LTE with edits were done with the camera's edit options, no app. Going to Jamaica and watching the sunset is refreshing for me. Soaking up the sun and salt is amazing and AAAHHHHH so refreshing just thinking about it

This picture was taken with Samsung Galaxy S4 Active (GT-I9295) and I used in that time new Google Camera software with lens blur. We were on our holiday in Alanya, Turkey summer 2014. It was really hot day, atleast 40 degrees in celsius and I needed some really cold bear. I placed my sunglasses on table and noticed that it looked really nice setting, so I grabbed some pictures and tried lens blur first time in my life. I still have this picture as a wallpaper in my Nexus 5. By the way, Efes is really good lager beer ;-)

This picture was taken with a HTC One (M7). No special app just the plain ole camera. Traveled down to Miami, FL for a good time and found a good lokal burger shop, literally the name of the place was called "LoKal", and had this interesting craft beer while there. Also had a great Samoa cookie beer too. Definitely guys check this place out if possible.
