Android Central Photo Contest: Trees

I took this photo while jogging in the Rio Grande's cottonwood bosque outside of Albuquerque, NM. It was a few days before the start of spring so almost all of the plants hadn't began to bud or sprout. Every plant around me was dry and brown but the New Mexican sky was still an assortment of blues and vast. Photo was taken on the Nexus 5 stock camera application, edited with VSCO Cam, and uploaded to Instagram.

Hey Andrew,

Can I just submit some bad tree puns instead of a picture? If not, I'm stumped.

I can't seem to pick just one to submit, that's the root of my problem.

Maybe I just need to branch out and ask someone which picture they like best.

I should probably leave and think about it for a while. Maybe one of my pics will grow on me.

Go for it, this is the month for bad puns it's - SepTIMMMBERRR

I took this picture on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 while on safari in Tanzania. I liked the way the sunset filtered through the trees. Almost looks like a nuclear bomb went off in the distance.

I took this with my LG G3 not long after transitioning from my HTC One M8. Needless to say, I was happy to have a phone camera that could capture detail.

Photo Info: f/2.4; 1/869; 3.97mm; ISO50; No editing

I took this picture with my Samsang Galaxy S6 edge and add a little vignette using Snapseed. Every year my family and I go the Turtle Creek Park in Uptown Dallas and take our family picture. We've been doing this for at least the last 11 years or so. I typically use a DSRL camera to take the Family year, which is now 8 yrs old (Need an upgrade). It's a Sony A200 10.2 mp camera. I have to say my SGS6 edge take way nicer pictures. Anyway, this picture is one I took this passed weekend, after our photo session, of the creek and scenery with my middle son admiring the local wildlife.

Trees.jpg

Took this with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 last January while visiting Russian Gulch State Park in Northern California. The family and I were scoping out new camping sites for this summer, and I was amazed at the almost iridescent quality of the moss on the trees. I used GIMP to accentuate the colors and bring it closer to how I saw it on that day.

This is a macro shot of the moss field that I see everyday on my way to work.
Rainy season brings out the greenery from the most unexpected of places.
Photo taken with my Nexus 5 and tone fixed with built in photo app

Shot with Galaxy S5.

So one morning I was walking in the forest near my town and saw this amazing view - moon, skies and of course these trees. I hope you like it too! :)
