Because this phone is the baddest phone motorola and verizon has come out with so far. It blows away the Evo and the Incredible. It comes with a card dock and multimedia dock made just for it, something only the Droid has had so far. In my opinion the Droid X will be the biggest baddest droid phone of all times, and I would love to have one.

Well lets start off with the hardware i like the fact that it is taller then the evo but not wider, very good chocie! Secound, next to the micro SD charging port is an HDMI port wich i feel will come in hand on the road or even on a bored rainy night, I mean the ability to charge and stream at the same time so ingenius! It also comes with a 16GB mirco SD, hello verizon where was that with my Droid INC. Not to metion the 1Ghz processor but a graphics chip......say good by iphone/ipod touch games!!!!! Now on to the great apps that come on the device. The camera apps looks crazy can't wait to get a chance to play with the cool effects. I also believe the ability to change widget size is a much need idea they need to add on all phones so we can really make things personal. The fact it already comes with 3g hot spot is also cool considering my Inc still does not. The 720p video also looks very sick and i love on board keyboards. So basicly i am in love with this phone although I will never see it because i used my early upgrade, so hopefully i will win this sick phone!!!
I want to win a Droid X b/c upgrading to the lemon iPhone 4 is not an option. Also, 4.3" is super niiiiiccccce.
Makes me wish I waited instead of getting my Droid Incredible right away....but I could get another line for this one 
It's a Motorola, which means it can make calls. And with a 1 GHz processor, dedicated GPU, and a huge battery, it will easily be the best phone from Verizon. I want one.
So I have been waiting and reviewing smart phones for some time. With the release of the Droid X was the first time that I truely was tempted to want one. My reasoning is mainly the screen size. I don't really like the physical key boards as they add size to the phone and wait but being a larger person a touch key board is tough do to the size of my fingers. With the Droid X's large screen I will finally have something that will be more manageable for me.
The second major reason is for the HDMI out being one of the first phones to incorporate the mini HDMI out it is great. You can now utilize your phone as a hot spot, a audio device and now a HD Controller for your TV.
I'm very excited and can't wait for this device. Good luck to all that purchase this device I do believe this is the one that will kill off the IPhone.

The AMAZING screen real estate (without having to use Sprint's cruddy network)! The speed and screen size make this closer to my "do it all" device that allows me to NOT replace my failing computer. I need a chin-mounted spit cup to catch my drool over this thing. 
Reasons why the Droid X is the best...
1) Huge multi touch keyboard... which will make me "corona commercial chuck" my Breakberry a few hundred feet into the nearest body of water...
2)That crazy screen!! I'm throwing my home TV out the window too!!!
3) A camera that the DLR's will envy... oh no Engadget!! I have to hold the phone still while I take a photo... what do I dooooo?!?!?
4) No one's beating Verizon gentlemen. Speaking from someone who drives all over Connecticut from the noses pointed skyward in Greenwich to the noses pressed against the sidewalk via police action in Willimantic... the nose on this network just consistently smells cellular service!!
5) There may be some side effects*
6) I hope it doesn't come down to this but I can always use this bad boy for self defense. I can defend my family from pirates, would be muggers, or members of that dangerous Boost Mobile clan <brrrrrr>. Attach it to your front bumper and run police barricades**
*Side effects include but may not be specific to- Spouse or significant other leaving you for lack of attention, An unnatural love of your new smartphone, hot dog fingers, having a %$#^load of fun wherever VZW signals are found, flaming of iPhone fans, a [true] sense of superiority for having the coolest phone ever!

I've been fortunate enough to use Compaq Ipaq, Blackberry's, Motorola Q, Palm Treo and many other smart phone devices. It's amazing to see how technology has progressed to this point and which brands feel certain aspects are more important than others. RIM has always used push-email as their trump card, Treo always tried to capitalize on the ease of Palm's OS and WinMo is always just trying to catch up, with a miniaturized version of the Windows experience.
I have yet to experience the power and ingenuity of Android yet, but the more I read online and in printed publications, it seems like the most successful phone, comes from the amount of support behind it. This is evident by the Android Apps made available and the number of manufacturers lining up to produce Android handsets. I think Android has the longevity and support that pushes other smartphones to the fringes and will be the lone winner when the dust settles. I think Augmented reality is something we have only scratched the surface of, and Android is perfectly setup for that.
Whether I win or not, I'm looking to pick up an Android Device in the near future. The question is whether or not I can hold out till January of 2011 and see if a Verizon iPhone is released, or snag an android device on Verizon's BOGO offers. Good luck to everyone!

besides the awesome hard ware specs, i do like the resizable widgets. Right now, you can only choose the widigets size before you put it on the screen. Love it how you can resize it while it is on the home screen.

Another wrinkle of evolution
The Motorola Droid X is the next step in a long chain of mobile computing that further enhances what productivity a person can achieve through mobility. I have had a blast using the MotoDroid and have become a great fan of the Android mobile OS because of its simplicity and functionality. I can't wait to get my hands on the newest landing from Motorola and Google to further connect my life.

I want to switch from WinMo phone to an Android...This could very well be the phone that will make me do it (I was thinking Incrediable - but since you can't get them)
