Android Central Question

Hi I've got an android phone and a few months ago I connected it to PC and a notification popped up asking if I wanted to use it to access photos etc or just to charge. At the time I only wanted to charge it, so I selected charge mode. I now want to access photos but the notification no longer appears and its stuck in charge mode. I cannot find anywhere in the settings how to reset the mode to allow me to access photos. I've spent about half an hour in the settings menu trying to find it, why is Android so poorly arranged it shouldnt be this difficult to set it to MTP mode.

Please advise on where I can find this in the settings. Please no recommendations for any apps as I know this can be done without having to resort to third party apps. Thanks

Go into settings. In the search bar at the top, type mtp and you'll see where the setting is in your version of Android.

Thank you for your reply. THeres no search bar in my android settings. This is why I hate android, it doesnt have useful features such as search bars. It just bundles settings in to a dozen confusingly named folders and expects us all to know how to use it. Driving me f*ing crazy!!!
