Android Design in Illustrator?

Hello Android APP Developers,

I just signed up on this forum and this is gonna my first post. OK I want to first design an app design and so its a design related question. I am also totally new to this design and developing app thingy.

I am using Adobe Illustrator. So just while starting designing what dimension should I take? I read that the PPI of 72px is irrelevant here in this case but its recommended to work in 72ppi only. And what units shall I take? Pixels or Points?

Its better to work with points.. at the end you would generate content depending on DP, Display Points,
