Android fb app suddenly says i have no pictures in my gallery??

[Android Central Question]

I have many pictures in many folders and have posted many to fb. When I open my gallery they're all still there.
I took a new photo and Facebook can "see" that but none of the others??!
I've restarted my phone twice and completely shut down once to no avail.
I've cleared cache for both fb app and for gallery.
Any ideas??? I'm at a loss!

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Go to Settings>Apps, select Facebook, then Permissions, and make sure it has permission to access your Files and Storage.

Fb does have permission and when I took a new picture it sees it but doesn't see any of the pictures or folders that were there before.
When I go into gallery, everything appears normally.
I'm at a loss!

Ok try clear data then force stop Facebook this will reset it

Well, apparently this was an issue with the fb app. After following every suggestion here and on the web with no luck, I reported the problem to fb in the Android app and went to bed. When I woke the next morning suddenly it was all fixed. I can see all of my pictures again. Many thanks to everyone who tried to help me. I sure appreciate it. I thought I was going to need a sedative to keep my head from exploding, lol.
