I googled Android, Hero, and ActiveSync and came to the conclusion that getting ActiveSync with Exchange for work email on Android and the Hero will not be easy. My company uses BES but has recently allowed users to use Exchange. I am a BES user who needs work email pushed but I want to get rid of my Blackberry. The iPhone users have had much success with ActiveSync and Exchange.

Is there a definitive view on ActiveSync/Exchange on Android that I can read before I look into getting the Hero? Of course the alternative is to get a Hero and set it up before getting rid of the Blackberry but I would like to do a bit of research before I make the move.

Matthew Miller from ZDNet did a comprehensive review on the Sprint Hero and said it was the best implementation of Exchange Activesync that he has used on any device including the iPhone, Windows Mobile, and Symbian. You can find his review on YouTube or just do a google search. He has been doing this for a long time and I trust his input. Hope that helps.

I am having the same issue as this person.
I've set up my work email on my HTC hero using the Exchange Activesync option. It works great, syncing up my calendar, contacts, and email. The only issue I've seen is that, while I can receive emails, I cannot send to them. They just sit in my outbox forever.
Please help!!!
Thank you.
