So I just installed the M Preview and got a few screenshots of new/different things I've noticed.

Initial set up screens are slightly different from Lollipop. App drawer now scrolls vertically with the four most recent apps at the top. The quick settings tiles are slightly different. There's a new "Do Not Disturb Access" menu option along with another option to access all your Google settings directly from system settings. I'm not sure if the "inactive apps" option as well as the option to have light, auto or dark system themes existed in Lollipop but if they didn't hear they are!

I'll run this for a few days and let you know how it goes.

Update 1: Looks like we can now disable heads-up notifications on a per-app basis by going through the app info screen

Cool man. Going to flash it later today. On a scale of 1 to buggy, how is the build?

I have it on my N5 having just bought a G4. M is fast... really fast. Not a single crash or app fail yet.

I am completely happy with this being a Lollipop perfected update with some new features throw in. All hail constant iteration!

Honestly so far, it's more stable and much faster than lollipop. You should see how fast the camera is!

Standby time is great, I'm currently on the train through the Dales where there is a complete lack of network coverage. Not got flight mode on, using play music and the odd Facebook update/message when I reach a mainline stations. Also doing a lot of photography and filming. Started my journey from Leeds on 78%, at 0947. Currently 1142 and my battery is at 51%. When the phone was on standby for about the first hour, it didn't drop in battery at all, remained at 78%.

Obviously will see how well the battery performs over the next few days, but so far it's looking good.

Tl;dr:

Battery seems to be improved, as is camera speed. New animations across the board. Not encountered any bugs so far, I'd go so far as saying this would work as a daily driver. Better than lollipop. By far.

Running in my Nexus 5 as well. It is smooth and I feel the battery life is improved with M. That said, considering this isn't a huge update as to kitkat->lollipop, I think this is expected.

Will Android M, be coming to LG G3, :(

That sounds pretty encouraging. My Nexus 5 with location services on etc. drains battery at such a fast rate that I can't leave the house without an external battery. It's really that bad. Will possibly try to install it later today but of course I'm expecting to run into bugs. But doze and app sleep seem to be worth the upgrade just now.

looks promising will try .. as I hate to format my phone again and again if there any dev app or something don't work properly

Hmmm not a fan of the button icon at the bottom(home button, back etc) they remind me of Playstation controller buttons lol O, triangle, Square.
Also seems as if android is becoming more like apple lately, or is that just me

I'm running it on my Nexus 5 as well, and it flies. It's almost hard to believe this phone is nearly 2 years old. I love the System UI Tuner. Doze is something serious. I've only had it for one night, but this is the first time I've ever seen my nightly battery drain be nearly nonexistant.

Just put it on my Nexus 5 and it flies. I mean faster than my Galaxy S6. If it had a good camera I may have went back to it as my daily driver. Battery life seems to be good also. I think Marshmallow may actually finally make Android as fluid as IOS

Exactly... So true, I had so many memory leaks on my Nexus 5 with 5.0.02 and battery decrease with the Mobile Data bug.

6.0 seems to be 5.1 but even more stable.
