Android media using a lot of background data?

That's not too much data, and it includes the Download Manager, so it could just be related to files you downloaded or apps you downloaded and installed. I wouldn't restrict the data, because that might prevent you from being able to download and install an app.
 
It's not TOO much data no... but it is a decent amount. I don't have all that large of a data plan. Last month it didn't use even close to this much data on me throughout the entire month from my knowledge..
 
So do you recall downloading any file or app over mobile data, as opposed to wi-fi?
 
Downloads and Download Manager handle any file download, and the latter may also be involved in installing new apps. Media storage probably has to do with storage of media files, like music, videos, or photos. One possibility for background data usage is looking up album art for music tracks.
