Android N Preview User Experience

I'm really debating on signing up for the Beta Program but want a few answers that some of you might have hands on experience with. This is my daily driver mind you.

So my questions are:
1) Do normal phone functions work? i.e. calling (incoming, outgoing), texting, etc.
2) Does priority mode work flawlessly. I'm concerned about using my alarm with the priority modes.
3) Does WiFi calling work?
4) Any WiFi issues in general?
5) Any Bluetooth issues?
6) Does Spotify & Pandora work?
7) Does the camera work? For pictures and videos?

If there is anything else you might want to add please do. I know there are a few compatibility issues with apps so you can list what does/doesn't work yet (report back once they start to work if they didn't originally).

Did you try a factory data reset before rolling back to MM? I've read that some people have corrected that issue (along with others) doing that.

^^ What he said, except substitute "Soundcloud" for "Google music" in my case. Battery life has been slightly worse than MM for me, but not dramatically so even when using it as a daily driver. If it were my only phone, though, I probably would have rolled back to MM just because of the possible occasional reboot problems at #1.

Yup, there were other issues with some apps that the factory reset fixed, not the ones listed though.

I have been using N for a while now..I haven't had any random reboots. Everything works for me with no problems. I am getting 10+ hours a day from the battery. If you do decide to try Android N, please PLEASE unlock your bootloader before doing so. It's a simple process that will be worth it. Not doing so could cause a permanent brick should problems arise.

3) Does WiFi calling work?

Quick clarification: WiFi calling does appear to work, but it's sometimes a struggle to get that label to pop up on the notification shade. Sometimes, even though WiFi is clearly connected with a strong signal (+70%), the LTE designation will not dropout, and the icon will not switch from "T-Mobile" to "T-Mobile WiFi Calling." It can take multiple restarts on my phone to make that change happen, but once it does, it usually keeps switching back and forth as it needs to for the rest of the day.

No way of knowing if that's just a glitch with the notification shade or with the radio mojo itself, but it's a glitch nonetheless. It may be worth mentioning, though, that even when this stubborn hold onto LTE happens, the Network Signal app usually claims that "Data State" is "disconnected."

I didn't say it affects everybody, but it has happened to people (read Jerry's last article on it) so it's a good idea to have an unlocked bootloader. It's a good safety net, just to be safe, and there's no risk in doing it.

I'm not saying anybody would get any issues that would cause a brick, but if an issue does arise (such as the inability to update, etc), an unlocked bootloader does make it a LOT easier to return your phone to its previous state.

I didn't assume that either, I was just posting that it didn't affect me when I joined the beta for N.

Received OTA, downloaded N, then did factory reset. So. Worth. It. Battery has been amazing, quick charge is working, calls work fine... Only issue is my Marvel Contest of Champions app won't work. Everything else is butter. Can't wait to see what the next update brings.
