Android O for the Pixel and Pixel XL.

Cannot create a home screen widget for a contact. There are three Contacts widgets available (Contact info, direct call, direct message); all of them will let you go through the motions of placing the widget on a home screen and choosing a contact or number to link to it, but then the widget disappears.

I can't seem to find where you can add the extra buttons on the left and right bottom of the screen. Like where I added the PIP button. Was that in system tuner? It seems most of the options that were there in DP2, are not there in DP3.

I've been getting horrendous battery life with this build that came out Thursday. My phone will idle drain (40% overnight), playing music over Bluetooth will punch it hard, much harder than before, screen time has suffered and my phone died tonight at 8:30 with around an hour and a half sot.

Gonna have to say with the combination of not liking the white ui of the o preview and the weird battery graph that makes it difficult to tell what is using what (why do they keep changing that?)and me not thinking I'll get anything out of a reset that going back to nougat won't get me I will probably unenroll if tomorrow is more of the same. I haven't changed my usage habits nor have I downloaded any apps recently that could be doing this.

Anyone else seeing disappointing battery life on this beta 3?

Hm so far I deleted a few random apps my phone told me I hadn't used in awhile and things seem to be a little better. Guess it might have just been time to clean up

Anyone else notice that you now have to quadruple tap the screen to get it to be able to slide to unlock?

What happened to the OK Google command, "Read news to me"???

Now, I get taken to a webpage with news. For the past year/two, this would result in news being read to me.

Hmmm....

Update:
Found it, it's "Listen to the news"

"Read news to me" no longer works - but it used to!

that option is removed from system tuner. They already mention it that system tuner is highly experimental and any feature there could go away any time

The restrict background activity for apps is an amazing feature. i have been monitoring apps that gets used in background and draining my battery and if i dont want it to used in background i disable it for the app and its a huge battery saver. i think people should try and use that feature

Yeah, but the weird thing is that I had added a button to the left location (in the previous beta) and now I can't get rid of it because the option is gone from System UI Tuner but the button is still there!

It's a good thought, but no joy. I disabled System UI Tuner and then even performed a restart, but the left-most button is still there:

It's not a big deal, but still...

Just noticed I'm on May security patch on this beta 3 build....is that the case for everyone else?
