Coming from an ex blackberry user, i think it would be an incredible improvement for their OS. However i dont forsee this really happening. BB spends to much time focusing on the corprate world, granted thats what they were designed for.

Yet we get people in the IT office all the time wanting to know why they cant get a Droid/x/d2 now instead of a BB.

LOL yep! Of course at one time no one would believe Apple would make their OS work on an Intel chip but they did ;-)

But no, RIM will never drop their own OS and go with Android or any other platform.... but that's not to say there aren't plenty of things they can learn from Android and Android form them...

No way this happens....what make Blackberry unique is their OWN OS and the business aspects....Our company tried to get the Droid and iPhone....they are just not that business friendly, nor secure..

Can not compare because every gadget has it's own advantages and disadvantages.
