Android Oreo On LG G6

Wonder when LG/T-Mobile will release Android Oreo 8.0 to the G6 line?...Google said by the end the year..I'm guessing after the release of the pixel 2 phones LG will finally push it

Seeing as we've been stuck on 7.0, I'm hoping LG will be one of the first OEM's to push 8.0. From what I've gathered from the forums, in the past LG skip the "minor" releases in favour of being one of the first to offer a major release. Hopefully not long until we find out.

My birthday is in October. That would be a super present! The lack of updates (especially OS type updates) is something I really miss with my "old" Nexus 6P. I've been 1/2 tempted to go back to that only for the updates.

Apparently it took about 90 days for the last two major updates to come to LG's unlocked flagships so that would seem to be a good expectation. Of course for those of us on AT&T, we could be waiting another 6 months or more beyond that!
