I've noticed that Android OS is pretty consistently taking up 28-35% of my battery usage, and has gone as high as 62%. Can't figure out why. With my Nexus S it was far lower--single digits I think. When it went up to 62% the phone got really hot, and I'm sure it's killing my battery life. Is my phone defective?

Exactly how mine is and Android system. My 3D was always in the singles also. I have posted a thread here Im pretty sure, XDA and get any answers. I see ppl posting screen pics of their battery usage and those 2 batteryr usages on alot of them are in the single digits as well
