My Android OS keeps my phone awake a good bit as well. Overall battery life is still really good though. I'm much too lazy to go through the painstaking process of removing apps to find out what wakes my phone when the screen is off though and don't want to root to take advantage of wake lock detector haphone has been off the charger for about 3 hours and Android OS is the second on my list of used apps with a "keep awake" of 41 minutes. screen on time of 21 minutes battery is down to 87%
that doesn't sound right to me. any ideas?
i'm certainly using other apps. there is no reason android OS should randomly keep the phone awake for multiple hours a day when every other apps is minutes or seconds.
I had a similar issue recently. I found that turning Bluetooth off would prevent the phone from staying awake. This was an unacceptable work around since I have a Moto 360 and use Bluetooth streaming/calling in my car regularly.
I started look through apps with Bluetooth permissions and found that WeatherBug needed Bluetooth, which I found odd. Uninstalled and Bluetooth keep awake was resolved.
It might be worth turning off things like Bluetooth and WiFi to see if one of those is causing the wake lock.
