I only do that if I'm running into issues, otherwise I'll keep it as it is. Why reset when no issues
Same here. I'm not opposed to a factory reset, but don't start off with a factory reset.

Another thing I think I've noticed is that the adaptive brightness seems too aggressive when it comes to dimming the display. I always find it too dim in m most situations
This is going to sound crazy, but every time I get an updated OS I do a factory reset.

Anyone experience extra slow updates to apps in the Google Play Store? Takes super long for it to initiate the download and install.
On the same wifi network and my S9+ and N8 update apps quick.
I've seen that happen recently on my old Nexus 6 running the Pixel Experience ROM but never on my 2 XL.Anyone experience extra slow updates to apps in the Google Play Store? Takes super long for it to initiate the download and install.
I confess, I do this....Just because I do not see it does not mean it is not thereSo if I do the factory reset and start noticing a problem I have lready taken that needed step. I never thought about doing one prior but I might start doing that as well. Factory reset, update, factory reset, Go!!!
Yeah mine is listed as certified. It seems to be ok now. Guess it was probably just a fluke.I've seen that happen recently on my old Nexus 6 running the Pixel Experience ROM but never on my 2 XL.
Is your device listed as "Certified" in Play Store settings?
Nope, updates are downloading just fine on my Pixel.Anyone experience extra slow updates to apps in the Google Play Store? Takes super long for it to initiate the download and install.

Any trick getting Samsung Gear S2 working with Pixel 2 XL? Gear software crashes when trying to connect on initial setup.
My main reason for leaving the Android P beta program so my S3 would function properly again also regained use of Capital one app , none Pixel phoneIt seems that Samsung needs to update the app. Mine worked initially when I joined the Beta I would still get notifications but the app didn't work, then I think it was beta 3 my watch was always showing that it was in stand alone mode, I couldn't get it to connect to the phone so I had to set it up as new and now I don't get notifications or anything. I am hoping Samsung updates the gear app soon.
I've actually noticed that problem in the last couple of days. Whichever app will show 100% downloaded but will just sit there for a few minutes before it starts installing.Anyone experience extra slow updates to apps in the Google Play Store? Good luck with that. Every app developer that I had reported problems to blew me off with 'oh, well that's a Beta version of the OS' - so much for being proactive about being ready for the official release.I am hoping Samsung updates the gear app soon.
Yes this is what's happening to mine but it's not consistent. Sometimes it's quick and sometimes it'll hang.I've actually noticed that problem in the last couple of days. Whichever app will show 100% downloaded but will just sit there for a few minutes before it starts installing.
This is on stock Oreo BTW.
