Android pay and knock code

So I disabled it and tried force stop. Removed payment info and I still can't get my knock code back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try going to setting - security - certificate Mangement - clear credential. all the disabled options (including Knock Code) should be enabled again

I just updated to Android Pay this morning. I went with the pattern. It is just as fast to unlock my screen with that as it is knock code, if not faster. Not a big deal at all. I'm sure they will update the app after they get some feed back and give you the option to use a password at the app instead of having it this way.

If you go into Settings, App manager, All apps, scroll down to Android Pay, open and Disable. Will revert to factory default Google Wallet.

With Google wallet Google was in the middle of your purchase transaction. You tap to pay, Goggle processed your credit card. With Android Pay your Financial institution or Bank is the one you are interfacing with. Financial institutions want a pin or something that secures the transaction as being legitimately made by you..you know like you use a pin at an ATM.

So I don't think it is Google that won't approve tap to unlock. Financial institutions don't want to have that as verification of a secure transaction.
So with Android pay you will eventually get more market saturation and opportunities to use it, but in a way that financial institutions will accept as secure.

Google should at least pattern lock Android Pay so users of knock code can still use knock code as the lock screen.

Oh my god, thank you so much for this. I have been looking all over to get this cleared off.

Makes my friggin day here!

I'm just tapping my knock code on the pin pad for now. Just pick four numbers in a square. True, this method means you can't unlock directly with the knock code, but it only adds a power button press or double tap to get to the pin input screen. I would often have to do the knock code multiple times, so this may end up being better for me.
