Android security

Hi guys,
I've recently moved from an iPhone onto android and loving my HTC M8.
I'm just wondering what sort of anti virus app you use, if any. I've been using Kaspersky but the free trial is due to end and was wondering if it's worth paying for it or going for a free option. If I am going to pay I'd like to pay for one that's recommended by others!

Generally, Android is a safe mobile operating system if you stay away from shady sites and don't install shady apps. If I could recommend one, I would try Comodo Antivirus. On top of that, try Malwarebytes Anti-malware. Both are on the play store and both are free.

Thanks. I actually didn't think one was necessary but my mobile banking app recommends installing one.
I've not heard of the ones you mention so will check them out

I use webroot. But KS mobile on Google play has cm security which works fast and great as well.

They are from big and well known brands. I'm not going to recommend you anything weird.

Verizon has Verizon protect and I have enabled it. Fine so far... But I know nothing about android and haven't download it banking apps yet. I can't help but wonder if Verizon is enough, anyone have an opinion on it?

There is a free version. The paid version has more features.

I use lookout mobile premium $4 a month through T-Mobile.. I have no issues with my phone..
