Android Central Question

Hi, today my phone began lagging. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 which has a total of 6gb RAM.

I checked device maintenance app and its showing around 4.5-4.7gb for system apps. I drill down and found Android Services Library is taking up a constant 2.4gb. In searching online about it, that app is supposed to form part of GoogleExt and deals with prioritising notifications? I can't see how it's taking up that much RAM and is causing the phone to lag for the first time ever.

I cleared the memory and it comes back immediately.

Anyone have any idea on how to fix this so I can have more than 600mb available memory?

Cheers
