Android System Update: how can I complete it?

Android System Update

I repeatedly receive a notice on new Nexus 6 that there has been a system update downloaded but the installation is never completed. I receive an error icon and eventually the phone will restart. After a varying amount of time I will receive yet another system update notice with the same results...
