Android update completely screwed up Do Not Disturbed. Please Help

Ok, I'm on ATT, it pushed the update thro this morning, now I have do not disturb on with a whitelist for only family and doctors, to get thro cause I'm a caretaker and usually sleeping half the day to sync my sleep with my grandmothers and prevent telemarketers calling and waking me up, or her up when she's in the hospital. Now after the update, my phone rings if it's from someone on my whitelist, but the screen is completely blank and unresponsive, does anyone know what moron screwed up?

Ok, when I get SMS Text from a person on my whitelist or favorites list the screen lights up to show a text has come thro, and the led blinks for both call and text notifications. This has really screwed things up as the do not disturbed function is vital for me to use.
