Android vs iOS with Toyota Entune? How will it work?

I am ordering a new Note 10 plus phone and switching from my iPhone XS Max and wanted to find out how it works compared to Siri eyes. Does it activate the google assistant like it does for Siri? Has anyone switched and noticed any loss or gains of controls between phones? I won’t switch if I lose the control I have with Siri now. But I need to know fairly quickly so I can cancel my preorder. Thank you to those that can help.

Mines a 2019 Limited.

Hoping there are others out there that own Toyota products that can tell me how it will work.

I just tried my S9 plus and was not able to get any voice functions with google assistant or bixby to kick on the same way that Siri does unless I am missing something.

Did you use carplay with your iPhone? If so it will just use Android Auto instead which behaves the exact same except it's all Android / Google.

I have a 2013 Avalon and use my Note 9 with Entune
very limited and disappointing really .

Hate to say it but iPhones just work better with Entune but only you can make the final decision. If your S9+ didn't work very well there's a 99.9% chance the Note 10 will not work any better. My S10+ doesn't work with my Toyota or Nissan as well as my iPhone Xs did.

Toyota is only just now starting to implement android auto for 2020 models (despite already having apple carplay in some earlier 2018 and 2019 models).

Oh WOW really? That sucks D:

4Runner sadly doesn't have car play or android auto. :(

I am selling my Apple Watch S4, SS, and bands to pay for the Note 10+, and using a Pixel 3 I bought off Swappa to use as a trade in for the $600. So basically I will have a paid off Note 10 and XS Max just no smart watch for now. That;s fine honestly. Little bummed my new 4Runner can't use it well, but after thinking about it, I will just deal with it. I may upgrade the deck to support it anyways.

I have a 2019 Corolla. There is no Android Auto in my car. I think there is the apple one though

I have only ever used Android with my entune and I've never experienced any problems.

So were you able to do the things I mentioned above then? If so how?

I’m still getting the phone. So either I’m losing out or whatever. I want this phone.
