Android Wear 2.0 - Anyone Receive the Update Yet?

So is your Huawei watch still stock 1.5, or did you install the 2.0 preview?

If you installed the 2.0 preview, is NFC enabled for Android/Samsung pay?

I am stock. I just purchased it in January thinking I would get the update soon. I thought about doing the update to the preview but did not because I kept on thinking the update was just around the corner.
NFC is definitely not part of the 2.0 preview. I don't think it is going to be available in the actual release either although I am hoping it is. I have heard that there is a chip but the rest of the hardware needed for Android Pay is not in the watch. But who knows.

I also have ZW2 and I want no part of the update after reading this thread! People either hate it or are neutral about it. Nobody loves it. My watch works great now. I want no part of it.

It is super sluggish on my LG Watch Urbane...I pretty much just keep mine on for counting steps. It took 2-3 minutes to start a WALK on Google Fit and it even rebooted on its own the first time trying to start a walk...

And yes, I've done several factory resets...

For me the reason why I'm neutral about Wear 2.0 on my watch is I really don't use my watch for anything but alarms, stopwatch/timer, seeing notifications and responding to my LastPass authentification requests. Other than that I don't use the watch for fitness or other applications. I leave voice commands to my phone which does a much better job than my watch ever did.

Android wear 2.No update is scheduled to hit the Huawei watch by the end of May. I think I finally found a use for the middle finger emoji. :)

Just received the AW 2.0 update on my Huawei Watch, shows a patch level of April. The update resets your watch when it starts, so you do have to reinstall all your apps if you were on the preview version.

Received aw2 this morning on my Huawei watch. On EE in UK. And I wasn't enrolled in the developer preview

I am thinking the same thing. I did a quick look and the only option I saw was to root it and run a mod.
My moto 360 gen-2 is completely dead. The 2.0 update totally ruined what was a perfectly GREAT watch.

I receive no notifications
My Play Store 2.0 on the watch is completely defective and does not work at all.

Its now nothing more than a dumb-watch with ~35 hour battery life.
So I use it as a night stand clock... a $325 clock.

I got an update for my Huawei watch just a few minutes ago. I can tell it's different from the AW 2 I had before.

So, the only issue that I have so far is that text message notifications are hit or miss. They seem to either be delayed or I do not get them at all. I am using the Verizon Message + app for messaging, so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.

Other than that the watch is very responsive. Facebook Messenger works great and I love the new reply options. I haven't installed any "complications" (btw who the hell came up with that name?), and the watch still functions pretty much as it did before except for the new UI and reply options. Processor and memory usage are still very reasonable.

One thing that surprised me was that all reports were saying that the watch would be wiped during the upgrade process, but that was not the case. All of my existing apps and settings remained. I need to wipe my phone (Note 5) anyway, so I will factory reset both at the same time to see if it helps with the text message notification issue.

I can't comment on battery life yet as I'm sure the upgrade process used a lot of battery.

And I'm also curious to see if I can use Samsung Pay on the watch. If the Wear 2.0 experience is a good one then I may try the Huawei watch 2.0 if it works with Samsung Pay and has a longer battery life.

"Complications" is an old school horology watch-making term. It probably carries over from clock-making, which is basically what watch making once was, but on a smaller scale.

Smart-watch developers have just carried over the terminology, even though they are not really dealing with springs, levers, gear cogs, rubys etc in the physical sense.

My Huawei watch is updated on Wear 2.0.
Just playing around a bit on it now. So far so good tho. Worked pretty seamlessly.

The ability to make/ answer calls has NOT been removed. I used it on my Huawei Watch with the developer preview. You may have to set it up on the watch and phone.

Regardless. I ditched it for the Gear S3. AW2.0 totally ruined the smartwatch experience for me.
