Android Wear 2.0 on Moto yet?

My watch will be an antique before the Android Wear 2.0 comes out ??????

Thats certainly what the manufacturers want us to believe.

5/29/17 UPDATE...

I initially was very hesitant to post this comment to this thread given the instability of my watch. But I feel confident now after 16 days. So back on 5/13/17, on a whim I took it off airplane mode, reconnected it to my phone and to my surprise android message and google mail notifications started re-appearing on the watch. I didn't do anything other than take it off airplane mode and re-pair it to my phone. I have no clue why it works now and not the dozens of tries before.... complete mystery.

on ~5/20/17 I cleared AW cache on the phone just for the heck of it and all continues to be well.

So while I am NOT running 2.0 yet, I am still on 1.5... at least its back to normal as an extension of my phone notification screen.

I have posted strong opinions about AW, its reliability and stability during the 1.5 - 2.0 transition. Those opinions remain unchanged.

my wife has the Moto 360 rose gold while I have the Huawei watch I got the 2.0 mid May my wife got the update yesterday 5/28.. seems to be working great she just has to get used the new OS. 😊

Got the update for both my own watch and my girlfriends watch.

Keep tapping the green "System is up to date" screen and it forces it. Should pop up to initiate the download.

6/3/17 UPDATE...

Headaches continue. Moto 360-Gen2, LG V10 Marshamallow

I have been running 1.5 for as long as possible, finally once again enjoying the reliability since 5/13/17.

Yesterday morning I started getting notifications to install update # XXXXXXXX (I forget the exact character string). I swiped them both aside, preferring to keep things the way they are. At some point in the afternoon my bluetooth connection once again self-terminated, and along with it any notifications. As before the cloud symbol re-appeared. It was not me that set it this way. I Let it sit overnight hoping it would fix itself... nope.

So at this point its safe to assume 1.5 is no longer usable.

So once again, here we go:
1. Unpaired the watch
2. Deleted Android Wear app from the phone
3. Cleared the cache on the Google Play Services app
4. Factory resetting the watch....

I am about 75 minutes into this watch factory reset. It appears to be stalling out, "Continue setup on phone" with the spinner thing going around the watch face.

90 minutes pass... I closed android wear on my phone, and this seems to have worked. I appear to have both BT and Wifi connectivity.

BUT once again I can no longer receive notifications.... this time however its because I can not install google mail or android messages onto the watch.

-Using the Resync apps in AW does nothing.
-I tried to use the new Playstore app in 2.0. It doesn't work until I add my google account to the watch from my phone (can't I just type in my credentials using the little keyboard on the watch!!!!?)
It just says "Check your Phone", with the spin icon again and appears to be stalling out. My phone has a blank screen on the "Accounts" menu.

I tried re-clearing cache from AW... no dice.

Just got the notification for an update on the watch. It said it was downloaded and to click install.... Watch rebooted had the spinning flowers for 12min then updating apps 1 of 43 for a few minutes. Now its up and running with AW 2.0

How do you all install apps from your phone onto the watch?
-Resync in AW on the phone does nothing for me.
-One would think we can use the new playstore app on the watch, but I tried that and I am stuck because I can not add my google acct
from my phone to the watch.

On that note, why does 2.0 need to get my google account info from my phone? The watch has wifi connectivity, AND its own version of google playstore... just connect and extract my account information directly.

Frustrating.

I had to manually install my Google account then sync the account and my apps came over. New apps are installed from the Playstore.

Can you do a little favor, and describe in a little detail (step by step) how you did that? Thanks a million....!!!

I got it and like it much better. Battery life is not quite as good but good enough and with Google Assistant I can turn on and off my lights. Very cool!

I also think AW 2.0 on the Moto 360 is a nice improvement. I've got it working with my Smartthings hub at home where I can command Google Assistant to turn on/off lights, adjust the thermostat, etc. And, I don't need to say, "Ok, Google" to do it!

That's a plus. Everything I say ok Google every phone and my Google home wrestle over listening.

got my update... seems like my battery is running out quicker based on my first day... and that is without any notifications (not sure why, haven't worked in it yet).

Swipe down from the top, settings, personalatizion, accounts, add Google account

I tried that but the problem is this... My accounts listing (in AW on my phone) is blank. How do I get my accounts to show up here?

You all seem to be blaming the AndroidWear platform. Seems like it is a Moto 360 problem to me. My Asus sparrow works perfectly well and I get all of my notifications. Not in AW 2 either. Some version of AW1 but it works so I don't care.

At this point I don't really care. I have a $350 watch that dumped after 11 months. I just want it to work... I will let others figure out who to blame.
