Android Wear Update 5.1.1 Opinions

Same here.
Screen will only turn on if I tap it or press button, or if a notification comes in. Used to work great when raising wrist to face.

* * Edit: figured it out. For some reason in AW app on phone, 'tilt to wake' feature was off, so I re-enabled it and it works again :-)
The "tilt to wake" feature was on, but my wrist gestures weren't working either. I found there's a "wrist gestures" in the watch settings, which had been set to off somehow. Turning that on got me back in business.

It's not "somehow"... wrist gestures is a new feature and it is simply off by default.

All I know, is that the flicking action was working, and then it stopped. My first thought was to go to Android Wear on the phone, and then I looked in the settings on the watch.

Oh, it was working after the update, and then stopped working? That I can't explain unless you fat-fingered a settings screen or something like that.

Yeah, I'm not sure either. I also got that message about it shutting down wifi mode to save power when the watch was at around 70%, so I'm thinking there may still be some bugs in this version.

Having WiFi on at home has been wonderful and don't see much decrease in battery life. I do not have any WiFi at work though and if I don't turn off WiFi on the watch, it sucks the battery.

My Moto 360 is awesome. I love it being paired with my G4. Ever since the update Android wear 5.1.1and Google fit installation, it's sucking my G4 battery down quick. I'm down to 3 hours SOT with my G4. On a positive note my Moto 360 battery has improved dramatically.

You can say THAT again....
