Angler possibly leaked?

I just watched a video on this phone, and it looks nice. It seems to have a thin profile, but it has that 4,100 mAh battery, which gives me a little hope that Huawei can fit that 4,200 mAh battery I heard about. Giving it some thought, though, the fact that this Nexus has the SD 810 is disappointing. It has me thinking that I might wait for the 2016 Nexus or Moto X, with a SD 820.

I'd hate to see the 810 in any phone, but I could definitely get over it if that 4200 (or thereabouts) rumor is true!

You're prepared to wait a whole extra year? You have commendable patience!

I've said it before too, I can seriously wait another year myself for the 2016 Nexus if the LG Nexus (2015) isn't too my exact liking. I can easily still enjoy and love my current LG Nexus (2013) model.

Bravo! I am not so admirably patient.

I couldn't even wait for this year's Nexus and went for a Moto X Play! Though I haven't ruled out going for a Nexus, if it can best the Moto phone in camera and battery.

My Nexus 5's battery life was becoming a real annoyance so I was becoming desperate to upgrade. I still love the Nexus 5 though and can easily see how you'd be willing to spend more time with it :)

Yeah, I just really don't know about the 810. I'm not sure I wanna waste my money on a device that has the potential to overheat, unless it does have that 4,200 mAh battery in it. Which is why I'm so annoyed with evleaks for claiming it has the 820. And then when I called him out on it on Twitter, he had the nerve to be snippy.

He also had the nerve to call TK from Total Tech a fraud, well TK has a better track record than he does, including his spot on leak of the Moto XPE. Not to mention his juvenile feud with onleaks on Twitter over his Nexus leaks. Talk about a fraud.

A bigger battery doesn't guarantee better battery if software and hardware are not optimized well. Good Examples is Note 5, LG 4 and One Plus 2. All have similiar battery size but all them have greatly different battery life. Yes there chips are all different but none a significant upgrade or downgraded to have vastly different battery life so it comes down to optimization.

If the Nexus 6 is based on Huaweii previous phones with 3500mah and above well then the battery life for new Nexus 6 will be decent. Huaweii Honor Ascend Mate 7 laster had a 4100 mah battery life and before same as laster years Nexus 6 with 3200mah. The Note 4 had same battery and chip of the Nexus 6 but much better battery life.

Don't expect Android M to significant improve battery life as we seen in the past stock Android doesn't significantly improve battery life look at the play edition smartphones compared too their oem skinned versions. The battery life was pretty much the same between oem and play version.

We can expect the battery life the new Nexus 6 to be similar to most current Huaweii phone the Nexus 6 will be based on.

I wouldn't mind other phones but I just truly love the Nexus line. Pure google, always getting android updates, ect. But the Moto style or whatever looks amazing. Kinda sucks it doesn't have the new USB-C on it and stuff. I just don't know what to do right now. Decisions are hurting my brain haha

Standby time while the phone is on a flat surface (while you are sleeping etc...) is greatly improved in Marshmallow due to Doze. I can attest to this when I had it installed on my Nexus 6.

Well, evleaks definitely has had issues at times but I think people are always having a go at him, and I'm not sure how I'd react to all that negativity(probably not too well), so I don't judge him too harshly on that front. He doesn't do interviews anymore, so he says, which is too bad. He was on pocketnow a couple of years ago and he seemed pretty cool. And he still does a pretty decent job despite a few misses (albeit major ones).
"TK" definitely has someone in Moto who feeds him stuff but I don't think he's come up with much else (that's been proven true), but I could be wrong on that.
And as far as fraud goes, you be the judge:

I'll be bummed too if it's the 810, especially if the k950 turns out to be killer. But I'll wait to hear the reviews before making a decision. Don't have a choice anyway. I'm on Verizon, where waiting is mandatory.

I'd recommend going unlocked. No need to wait for any contract to expire :)

For the 810 naysayers, I thought they had an upgraded model that fixed the heat issue. Just sayin

Qualcomm really missed a good marketing opportunity here. They should have given it a new number when they "fixed" the 810.

811 maybe? lol

I've read that story before, and TK has addressed these stories in his live streams. In any case, he's made no secret to having contact with people in the know regarding certain devices. My whole point is I'm still more inclined to buy any info he has, over someone as condescending as evleaks, who "claims" he has sources, yet comes out looking the fool time and again, ie the HTC M9 debacle last year, and now claiming that the Huawei Nexus will sport the SD 820, which was debunked this week, with that bootloader image.

Meanwhile, TK mentioned in a stream last week that Google and Huawei were testing three devices: one with a 3,300 mAh battery, one with a 3,900 mAh battery, and one with a 4,200 mAh battery. I'll come back on here and admit to being wrong, of course, but I'll believe this info over anything evleaks has to say lately.

That has already been implemented in phones. It basically throttles the processor speed to produce less heat. Look at the One Plus 2. It has it, speeds are dialed back to prevent it overheating, yet the phone still gets eerily warm/uncomfortable if you push it. What is the point of a new SOC that needs to be toned down just for you to use it?

he won't get away with being wrong about the 820, as much as he'll try and shrug it off. processor and battery are my far the hottest topics surrounding this years Nexus phones, and he'll do permanent damage to his reputation. if he wasn't such a **** people might give him some leeway, but he's gone out of his way to make an *** of himself

Exactly, and he shouldn't get away with it. Considering the issues the 810 has had, and how people are awaiting the 820, for him to make that claim, he has to be held accountable.

Held accountable? A bit harsh I would say, given these early prognosticators are passing on from a reliable source (wink, nod, blink blink) to take any of them as the real deal is at your own risk. The fact that one or the other has guessed right more than the others is either luck, good investigation or data mining nothing more. No one has an inside in all multinational companies some are better at reading the tea leaves is all. Unfortunately we must wait for the finished product as mere consumers. They are in the final stages somewhere hopefully soon to arrive.

People need to take a step back and breathe. He leaked lots of info for years that was correct. Some is going to be wrong, and he owes NOTHING to you or me, or anyone else. Either believe what he says or don't.

And both him and onleaks have acted like d-bags at times recently.
