Angry Birds

Angry Birds latest version 1.5 will not work on Virgin Mobile Intercept. Version 1.4 did work, with occasional hangups where it slowed to a crawl, but the new version just doesn't work.

Works on mine, just turn off the backround under the game settings on the home screen, then it seems to run just fine. Some graphics seem glitchy, but its working!

Stormyhigh: get z4root temp root install adfree from market and unroot it should still hide the ads

I tried 1.5.2 and it would not properly show a lot of graphics, so I backed up to 1.4.2. 1.4.2 works OK on my Intercept, with occasional slow-to-a-crawl, but the slows can be typically cured by going back to the first scenario on Level 1 and completing it, then jumping ahead to where you really want to be. In rare cases, it has been necessary to Force Stop from the application manager and then go the scenario 1 on Level 1. Either the first or second solution has never failed.

Angry birds game plays well on higher resolution screen phone/tablet, higher RAM phone and the phones with high power CPU or separate GPU. I recommend to get at least 4.0 Inch screen Phone or 7 Inch Tablet. I tried it on Galacy Tab and Motorola Xoom. Rocks much much better there!

Angry Birds works well on the Intercept with 2.2 installed (Sprint got it already, VM is any day now [tomorrow?!].
I appreciate your advice of getting a larger, more capable phone. But that is NOT an option for a lot of folks, who are stuck in contract with what we got, or simply cannot afford a "high end" phone. My choice of the Intercept was because I do NOT want a behemoth of a device like the Evo, and even the Epic is pretty chunky, while still having a hardware keyboard.
That said, I love the compact size with keyboard, good capabilities, and "free phone Friday" last October at Best Buy.
