No posts in over 48 hours and I could not let it go any longer.
I have been reading up on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming to Sprint very soon but as I am unable to upgrade until 09/01/12, I am looking forward to HydroRom now more than ever to tide me over.
Hope all is going well with the Beta Testing.

how about you guys just post the rom already. I've seen commercial software with shorter beta lives.

I guess I can be a bit more patient as your mom is still running solid other than my stereo bluetooth going out after a bit of any audio app(pandora google music mostly). at the same time the haptic vibration also goes out.. when i reboot everything is ok, but it happens 3 out of maybe 5 days a week on my one hour commute at least once.

also i want to note that when it goes out my phone still shows the headphones as connected but if i try to toggle bluetooth on/off it gets stuck.

I don't think many software engineers get paid for releasing beta software. It must be hard giving this thing a green light for the masses when the donations are still rolling in from those that have gotten tired of waiting.

Team Hydro is milking this ROM for all it's worth. Personally, I have a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of devs charging for ROMs on an Open Source platform. Call it donations all you want, but at the end of the day the only people using this ROM are those that have paid for it.

I donated and I will be the first to say it, I don't think it is that different than any other ROM. Sure it has its plus sides, but the ROM itself is HUGE and leaves very little room for people who love to have a ton of apps. I am more than happy for the occasional donation, but come on, this just needs to be released so everyone can give their thoughts.

Personally, I wish I could get my donation back just this once. Call me an ass for this post, I just call it like I see it.

Thank you for all the hard work and bringing us the newer version of CWM. Can't wait for everyone here to get a taste of the HydroRom flavor! The Beta is awesome and the public release should not disappoint.

On behalf of Team Hydro, I'd like to issue a formal public apology for the chaos we seem to have created.

It was not our intention to come across as "milking" the community, nor was it our intention to delay the public release of HydroROM for as long as we have.

Addressing the first issue, our intentions were to show appreciation for the kindness of the folks that do donate. We wanted to give something in return for the in-kind donation of every single hard-earned dollar. We (I) realize now that while our intentions were good (from our point of view), they simply do not fit (and in fact clash) with the goals of the AndroidCentral community.

To address the second issue: as HydroROM went into Beta, I accepted a full time contract position at a very prominent education company. This has been consuming most of my time, as I work from 3:30PM to 12:00AM Sunday through Thursday. Even though I do not work on Friday or Saturday, those days are usually spend getting housework done and I simply do not have as much time as I would like to work on these projects. It also doesn't help matters much when I'm the last member of Team Hydro to still have an in-service Optimus S....

Without further ado, and with our sincerest apologies that we release to you HydroROM 1.0 Beta 1.
