Annoying issues since Lollipop update?

I updated my Nexus 4 phone to Lollipop yesterday and since then I haven't been able to hear notifications, even though I have all notification sounds turned up to maximum volume. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? I've already tried rebooting my phone. Did not work.

Also, I've noticed that I can no longer put my phone on silent, just vibrate. Seriously?? Anyone know a work around for this or is this a stupid new "feature"?

Select "none". That seems to be the equivalent.
