With the last update on my Samsung Note 5 the newsfeed changed from what used to be a screen page option to the first screen that pops up when my phone comes on. It is making me doing "slide to unlock" which I hate. It shuts off very frequently and has to be unlocked all the time. Can someone tell me how to stop the newsfeed? I don't want it.

It sounds like the app is set to display your news on the lock screen. If you can't find a menu selection to switch it off, then disabling or uninstalling the newsfeed app could be your answer.
