Hi all, How can I get rid of a annoying ticking sound (like a clock ticking loudly) on the lock screen? Concerns a S7 Galaxy, fully up to date. Once I unlock the screen, the sound stops. Also when I turns screen off (briefly push power button or closing flap of phone case) the sound stops. Thanks for your help!

Given that Li-ion batteries expand when they get old/wear out, and you hear the ticking AFTER charging. I would take it in to have it checked. If you bought at Best Buy, let Geek Squad look at it. Otherwise, take it to a corporate store of your carrier (one that has technicians). Unless you find an obvious program causing the ticking, there is no sense taking a chance. This is not a knock on Samsung. ALL Li-ion batteries can have issues, no matter the manufacturer.

It does not happen in Safe Mode. Problem exists since few weeks; I have removed all apps I installed last 6 months ... But leaving Safe Mode brings back the problem. It is an electronic clicking from the speaker. Any other tips perhaps other than going back to factory settings?

Uninstalling new apps from the last 6 mo is a good start, but it's also possible that an update to some app you've had for a while is also responsible. You might have to uninstall more apps to see if you can pinpoint the problem.
