I have been getting dozens of these messages. I dont know what they mean or where they come from. I did not get them on my iPhone. Anyone know how to turn them off? I clipped the screenshot from Intel Unison on my laptop so I could post it here.

Facebook Messenger is not installed and yes, coming from an iPhone.
It's also a bit suspicious that the number has an embedded link. A phisher might be trying to lure you into tapping it, which might bring you to a malicious website.

I think Google Messages might automatically highlight a number that looks like a typical 7 or 10 digit phone number, but not a 6 digit number. I just tested by sending myself that same code, and it doesn't get highlighted/hyperlinked. So I would block that number as a spammer.

Thank you to you and Mustang7757 for your help!

The bubbles are on their faces in the messages list. There are also two little checkmarks next to the message text itself. Assuming this is normal behavior?
Oh sorry, I didn't see that you were talking about the contact's profile pics. You mean a little blue speech bubble icon? That does indicate that the person is on RCS.

The message is probably fake but Let's go back a step and make sure nobody is in your account trying to change the phone number associated with your account.

Look if there any unrecognized logins. Even if there aren't, this is a good time to change your password and set up 2FA so you don't have to worry about this in the future.

If it's legit, someones in already. If it's not and you "keep getting" them, you are already being targeted.

I checked my Google account info and it had an incorrect phone number from an old SIM. I updated to my current number. No unauthorized login attempts. I dont think I've been compromised. Thanks for your suggestion - was helpful to update the correct phone number.
