Another Huawei week living with my banking apps, and question time!!

Hi guys, thought id give an update on my banking, its still working Im still able to ue my regular banking apps as normal. My question to you all is are you still dubious about purchasing a Huawei handset because of banking apps?

same, im interested to see how they will do with the lack of GMS!! Would you come over to Huawei based on what you've seen on the forums? Im surprised by how many people think android and google are the same thing!!

Who knows where I'll go. Maybe back to Samsung, or to Pixel, or elsewhere. But it's nice to have smartphone options!

still will be wary, just because the app is working don't mean the bank will cover you if there is any fraudulent activity with the account. always read the user agreement and/or contact the bank first.

not entirely sure how the app would make a difference as its no different to getting a statement from the bank and noticing fraudulant activity, my mum was a victim of fraud last weekend and she doesn't use banking apps or online banking or even telephone banking. When she asked what it could be it was simply from paying for something over the phone. The bank even said online banking / paying for something online is safer than using the phone. which in all honesty surprised me!! I never thought that would be the case.

its difficult isn't it as there are so many options, each specialises in something fantastic!! There are pros and cons to any phone, im always dong my research and im definitely going to use forums as part of my research for my next phone as its nice to read other peoples opinions and views on it. I will always have something android based as I find it more affordable, better quality and longer lasting! I have had iiphones in the past which I will give it its due lasted a goo few years but it was very expensive for what it was!

I completely agree with you - there are so many options available! It largely depends on your preferences, for sure. Oh yes, research is a must! And using AC, of course!

yeah since joining android central ive joined a couple other forums but Im finding them a little difficult to use so I stick here!! Ive started coming on a lot more now as I like reading the comments about Huawei and other brands!! Im learning a lot about other things too!!

I phone cloned M&S banking across and it works fine. Happy about that.
