Hi everyone. Still learning and finding my way around. Got a simple and probably dumb question. Does more apps on my home screen mean I'm using up more battery? I've got an LG viper 4g lte and really like it except for the battery life and the fact that it gets really hot.

Welcome to AC! :) Enjoy the forums, they're a great resource. No question is dumb, everyone has to start somewhere so don't hesitate to ask.

Ok thx. I didn't think so. I guess this battery just doesn't last worth a crap

The fatal flaw of modern smartphones tends to be battery life. Turning down your screen brightness and using Wi-Fi when possible are both fairly easy ways to increase what you get out of the battery.

Although having more app shortcuts on your homescreens doesn't use up more battery, it could potentially bog down the smoothness of your swiping between homescreens. I noticed this with my old Acer A500 tablet.
