Another Nexus 6 Spec Rumor

I'm still holding out for a flip phone. Hey, the "rumor mill" here is better than the one on Crackberry. LOL:p:p:p

As appealing as a modern flipper could be, I think the "slab" design still has some legs left.

It's like Yoda's "Rule of Two". 5.2", no more, no less. I'd like to see the charging port centered on the bottom, for use with a cradle. I'd also like to see the LED back near the top of the phone's face, instead of near the bottom. Cosmetic changes, but it would make a great deal of difference to a lot of people.:p

It really depends upon the overall dimensions rather than the advertised screen size, but in general the n5 is probably my limit.

Exactly... I played around with the LG G3 and it doesn't feel much bigger than my Nexus 5 does... Fits comfortably in my Khakis and jeans just like I currently carry my N5..... I really REALLY hope they go the 5.2 AND 5.9 route.. I want the 5.9 but I completely understand how that is just outrageous for most people (Heck I think it's outrageous but for some reason I'm drawn to it after fooling around with the LG G3 for a day) 5 inch is too big for some people..... and then at the same time I know of two very small petite women (and seen plenty more) who rock Note 3's......

If you don't use it as a phone and put the phablet in a purse, then these gigantic monstrosities work. I keep mine in my pocket and use it as a phone in addition to its smartphone features.

Yeah I rarely use the "Phone" side of the device... So much so I switched to T-Mobile and their $30 prepaid plan with only 100 minutes of talk per month... I average around 70 - 80 minutes a month of talk.. but I get unlimited text and data (5 gig LTE) and it works perfectly for me... So far after 4 months I've yet to exceed the 100 minutes of talk.. but I send/receive a ton of text messages and I use up my entire 5 gig of LTE data each month.... so a Phablet is what I am more leaning towards.... As a guy no purse though.... But the Note 3 and the LG G3 fit comfortably in my jean or Khaki pockets as I tend to wear a size bigger than I need and baggy/loose fit jeans....

5.9 would be about perfect... the 5.7 Note is nice as well.... Even if I never used the "phone" features I couldn't comfortably carry around my Nexus 7 if I had the LTE version.. that is slightly too big but not entirely out of the question... I've carried it before when I travel so it's possible.... I think up to six inches would be ideal..... no matter how much they shrink the bezel if they get much bigger than that it would start to get uncomfortable.....

I occasionally carry my Nexus7 with me, but it certainly makes me appreciate having a modestly sized phone (n4).

I've never owned a nexus how are the speakers typically? I love using my phone for music. HTC can't be the only one with incredible speaker quality.

Typically quite poor.

The Nexus 4 had a tiny slit at the back for the speaker. When you put the phone down on a flat surface, it would pretty much completely mute the speaker unless you turned it on really high.

The Nexus 5 had a speaker on the bottom bezel, which wouldn't get covered when placed down, however was of very poor quality and very soft.

I've owned the HTC One M7, M8 and Nexus 4 and 5 phones. The Nexus speakers don't come close HTC's ones. HTC's just make sense. Two front facing speakers, very loud, very clear. Which is why I'm excited when I hear that HTC could possibly be making the Nexus phone rather than Motorola.

Don't assume that a HTC nexus will like a One and have front facing speakers .. These devices are built to Google's specifications, not HTC 's.

You are correct however the nexus 9 is said to have front facing speakers as well.

The tablet.. yeah.... that tablet looks to be an awesome rig... that rocketship Tegra processor paired with what might be BoomSound speakers... it'll give that Nvidia Shield a run for its money as far as high performance tabbies are concerned.

I'll be curious to see that the phone looks like though, they've kept things quiet.

If the phone is built by HTC and Google don't implement the dual front facing speakers, that'd be a damn shame. But Nexus devices are typically quite cheap for what they offer, so I'd understand if parts had to be cut to keep costs down.

I wish the Nexus 6 was priced higher and in turn had better quality parts.

Me too. I would definitely pay more for better build quality, however, from early reports this nexus may cost more than historical due to higher specs.
