Another Pre User Coming Over to the Hero!!

I currently have a Pre and a Hero and have found that the Pre is by far the simpler and quicker interface to use. On the Hero, moving back and forth from the buttons at the bottom to the screen is very awkward. But that of course is a personal preference I guess. I have been using the Pre for about 4 months, and have never gotten a memory problem with the cards, so I really can't comment on that.

Both are at early stages in there OS's so it will be interesting to see where they go. Obviously the android platform has quite a bit of momentum going for it with so many developers, but Pre by far has a more sophisticated OS. Of course imho. But let's see in 6 months.

I myself have made the transition from a Palm Treo to a Hero (hey that kind of rhymes lol). I must say at first I was a tad hesitant because I have had a Palm since Palm III before they were attached with phone capabilities. So moving to something else other than a Palm was definitely a jump. After hearing that the Palm Pre was good but still needed some work (to fix glitches, etc) I realized I should wait. So far I am quite-super-happy with it and enjoying my Hero thoroughly.

I am however dissapointed with some of the features that I use in Outlook don't carry over into the Hero and I hope they will make updates with that since Outlook for the longest time has had features such as a 'note' section that I was able to use before in my Treo.

to get a new phone make sure ur bill is up to date along with at lest a replacement and always ask for a manager and dont take no for an answer Imo

Went through 4 and uncountable number of phone calls before I could make the switch. CES was a whole lot of flash, but nothing earth shattering with the pre plus. Not once did anyone mention build quality on the pre+. I'm definitely happy wit my hero. I got a call from Palm about my missing contacts finally... 3 months after it happened, and 2 months after switching to the Hero. I had my sister help me learn Android, plus this website is AWESOME! I used precentral which was informative when I was on there.
