Another Problem/Issue

Problems seem to be all I talk about here and I apologize but this one is really ticking me off. I unrooted today and I dont know if this happened then or since then but my LED light is no longer blinking for emails or texts or anything. Could I have possibly turned this off? Could the light have been damaged during the flashing process? This sucks! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check settings sound and display it should have the notification settings in their. It could be their just off

Yeah its not that. I went to Handcent sms and selected test notification. Everything goes off except the led. And it doesnt go off with my gmail either so I know its some setting on the phone alone or its just jacked up. I wonder if thats something worth a warranty replacement in verizon's eyes. I know it seems like such a minor problem but it is really pissin me off lol.

Right. But it is Hancent SMS related. I uninstalled handcent and the led started working for my normal messaging app and for my email. Then I reinstalled Handcent and it stopped work again for messages and email. I just uninstalled it again and the light is once again functional. Im not sure what exactly is going on but it is definately related to handcent.

Yep looks like a hancent issue I don't use that app so I haven't run into it

As did mine until I unrooted this morning. I have installed/uninstalled it several times today and it is the common denominator each time. It must be clashing with another app or some setting on my phone.

I haven't played with all the color settings that Handcent uses. Is it possible you have the LED set for a color that isn't supported on the Droid and that's causing it not to work in other applications?

Just a thought.
