Another reason to Droid over iPhone

I've read numerous stories about people who go jogging with their iPhone and have the water sensors pop just from sweat vapor. It's very common with the iPhone.

Last night I went for a night bike ride, and got caught by a surprise thunderstorm. My Droid was in by water pack, but still got wet. After the ride, I pulled the back off and found water surrounding the water sensor. I wiped it down and let it dry out, but the sensor never tripped. With an iPhone, it would have tripped at the first rain drop. My droid never missed a beat.

Droid Does(n't) over react to a little water.

I have heard way too many horror stories about this as well. I even had an Apple Genius (lol), tell me not to take out my iPhone when it was humid out, after a heavy rain or even into the bathroom after someone had just taken a shower! Can you believe that. A liquid sensor should only trip if the device actually comes in contact with a liquid.

I'm so happy that I finally have seen the light and am rid of Apple for good.

My main reason I can't use the iPhone - AT&T.

I swear, I think Apple's kneecapped themselves just like Palm and their exclusive Pre/Pixi deal with Sprint. Hinders growth.

Android is on the rise because it's available on all carriers.

However... one must realize that Apple has never really cared about marketshare. Regardless, AT&T is just god awful.

They went AT&T because AT&T was a dying carrier.

And they were the only ones that were willing to bend to Apples ridiculous demands.

They went to Verizon first, and Verizon laughed at them.

Although I was warned by a VZW rep buying this that it would trip with sweat, I have both sweated on the phone during exercise or phone calls on a hot day, and been in the middle of a thunderous florida monsoon (well, seemed like it :p), and my sensor has never tripped.

Although Motorola was never known for their mobile OS's (which is why they went to android), they do have a stellar hardware division. I appreciate their hard work.
