Another Sprint HTC Hero update that popped up during last night?

did anyone notice another update for the HTC Hero pop up on their phones last night? i swear a notice popped up saying another update was available but i needed to use my phone that very minute so i dismissed to do the update another time... i dunno what the update was and cuz i'm a noob i can't figure out how to find the update and install it. does anyone know anything about this mystery update?

It a update to patch the exploit for root.

Funny thing that i just the noti. to try and update,on a custom rom.

Its to patch the exploit to gain root.I almost found out the hard way.lol

Downloaded the Zip, is it installed?

So I downloaded the update. Does this mean it actually applied the update? It just basically said this long name with a bunch of numbers.zip file downloaded but no message it it actually being installed.

if the update was installed the software number will be 2.27.651.6

They might be pushing it out in phases. Keep checking, it will be pushed your way soon.

go to menu>settings>about phone>system updates> update HTC. if it says up to date or dont see HTC update profile and PRL then go back and do HTC update
