Anti-Virus App

Did anyone install an anti-virus program? If yes, which one do you recommend?

It's not. Just don't turn on the option to install programs from unknown sources.

I'm not sure why you need one honestly? I believe those apps will create you more issues like battery life than helping you honestly. What makes you want an anti virus app?

I tried avg free but did not like the sneaky ad's. Received one notification regarding fast charging and i was like oh, something new...not . Coming from iOS so a newb.

As long as you do not enable the option to install apps from outside the play store I do not think one is needed at all. Probably will do more harm than good (if any), and pester you to pay money to upgrade to a "full" version

I've gotten this weird popup when looking at certain Facebook stories that says that my Google browser is damaged and will be shut down completely tomorrow if I don't take care of the issue right away. Sounds pretty bogus to me but is it a concern or just a stupid Facebook popup trying to convince me to download an antivirus app on my Note 7.

Def sounds like a bogus ad trying to get you to download a app that you don't need, and I guarantee will want you to pay money.
