Maybe it's been covered, but I have the 10.5 Tab S since when it 1st came out. Heavy user so I have a battery I'm goind to install soon. I saw the online video....looks simple enough....but has anyone hit snags installing a new batt?

Also....I have some sensitive court documments and such. Do I NEED antivirus for android?
And if so, what is recommended (that does'nt use lots of batt and space)? I'd pay if needed.
Also have a Nook HD+.....same antivirus?
Last question.
I've noticed lately more stutters, frozen websites, and lags when typing. I use the installed chrome browser. That's what made me think about an antivirus.
Is this thing wearing out......or something else? (I've goot the 32G storage card.....loading it instead of the 16G internal storage.

Welcome to Android Central! It's unlikely to be a virus. Over time, devices can start to lag for various reasons. It can be helpful to wipe the cache partition on occasion, which doesn't erase any personal data: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-19170. Some may go further and do a factory reset (after backing up or syncing important data first, of course).

For the most part, it's still quite difficult to get an actual virus on your phone, because malware requires you to manually accept the installation (which is why they try to fool you into thinking you're installing something legitimate). Use common sense:

1. Avoid shady websites that deal with things like porn, gambling, and "free" (aka pirated) apps/music/movies.

2. Never ever tap on a link that appears in a popup while browsing, especially if they're warning you that your phone is infected--they're just trying to scare you into installing some bogus "antivirus" app that is probably malicious itself.

3. Only install apps from well-established app sources like Google Play Store or Amazon Appstore. Read a bunch of app reviews before installing an app to look for any complaints about adware or suspected malware.

4. Turn on Google's "Verify Apps" function. This allows Google to periodically scan your phone's apps to look for malware. It's usually in your Google Settings app, under Security (although it might also be in the main System Settings, in Settings>Security).

And back up those sensitive documents to your computer hard drive or the cloud now!:)
