anto virus

I'm curious, what are you happy about? That it didn't crash your device? That it actually caught something?

What in the wild does this actually protect you from?

I am not aware of any viruses in the wild that it will/can catch.

Because a virus hasn't occurred on an Android phone yet certainly doesn't mean it can't happen in the future! An anti-Virus app is just a little insurance!

next you are going to tell me you use a task killer ;).....

I never used one on windows mobile, bb or palm so why start now LOL

There's a saying in the motorcycle community.

Q. What's the part of the bike that's guaranteed to fail more frequently and with higher probability than any other part of the bike?

A. The nut that connects the handlebars to the seat.

If you visualize a motorcycle, you discover the 'the nut' that connects the handlebars to the seat is the rider ;)

Same goes with phones. Largest risk we have is bricking our own phones with all the ROM, Kernel, Radio changes. Add to that butt dialing, drunk dialing, drunk texting, sexting, talking/texting while driving, dropping the phone accidentally, losing the phone, and we have a lot more things to worry about than someone engineering a virus on an Android device.

I agree dont need a virus protector on the phone.

So, no use to install a lookout type program and if you really wana "zone out " about it , do you really trust lookout to be the one , lol to guard you after the blunder they made recently ;) and then retracted their statement somewhat after google cleared the program .
