Any chance of QI charging?

More than likely no wireless charging of any kind since the phone looks to have a metal back. The last phone I had with wireless charging was the Nexus 6. I wish the Pixel XL 2 had wireless charging but I'm not holding my breath.

What the what....wireless chargers are popping up everywhere now, cars, couches, tables, kitchens, etc...everyone is putting wireless charging into their products and the Pixel won't have it again.....Cant be because its the first version, they have had two years to figure this out.

I highly doubt it especially with the glass cutout is smaller. It's kind of ironic because Google used to be a big supporter of wireless charging but has finally given up on it now that everyone else is on board

Truth. Soon enough they will be shamed into adding it IMO. I would expect next year's version to finally have it.

That said, after years with Samsung phones and using Qi charging a lot, I don't actually miss using it with my Pixel XL as much as I expected I would. I thought for sure it would end up being a really big deal for me when the Note 7 fiasco happened, but I have to say I don't really miss wireless charging too much. Certainly less than I expected I would at least. It is convenient though and, again , should be table stakes for a phone approaching $1000 for the XL 128GB model.

My Nexus 7 port would not charge the phone and almost threw it away and then remembered it had wireless charging. Lasted for like a whole another year.

Maybe for the Pixel 3! Wireless charging is really going to take off now that Apple is doing it.

Who cares what everyone else is doing? Wireless charging is slow. What's the point of charging a phone in a car with 4G, GPS, and bluetooth on if your wireless charging can't keep up with charging your phone? I've been using quick chargers in my cars for the past 3-4 years. It's obvious you don't have a quick charger in your car or you wouldn't have said every other company. Apple included wireless charging but their phone doesn't have a big of a battery.
