Any DInc2 users coming from Fascinate?

I feel like Go launcher ex has the best features of ADW & Launcher pro!

I'm coming over from that POS Fascinate. I really like the Incredible 2. After the GPS not working on the Fassy, it is great for it to lock on instantly. Aside from the Verizon garbage, I love it. I love the Sense, would like to root it at some point, but the phone is great enough (well, almost) as is. And in 9 months, I get to upgrade again.

I'm coming from the Fascinate as well, and I am impressed with the DINC2. I like the fact that the GPS locks on almost instantly, I like the Sense interface, the speed and functionality of the phone are all great. Overall, just a much better phone altogether (except from having to do a factory reset, because I tried uninstalling an app and it froze up and keep forcing close saying google framework corrupt or something along those lines), but everything is good now. I think I will stay with HTC phones from now on.

I switched from the Fassy a week ago and decided to do my first root on the Dinc2. Even though I'm still new to rooting and flashing, i am very excited about the rom i am running on this phone. Virtuous Unity v1.31.3 (GB) wit Sense3.0 is sick. Combined with a faster phone and better gps. I know now that i made a great choice with my Dinc2.

After having the Dinc2 for the past couple days I'm glad I was able to ditch my fascinate!

My Dinc2 will arrive next tuesday. I'm currently traveling in Europe, and will have it the day after I return. After reading this forum, I'm stoked to get it. Working GPS, smooth operating, and the global function sounds great!!!!

I had to switch because of the missed calls issue with the Fascinate.
So far there is no comparison - the Dinc2 is a noticeably better device. I had the Fascinate rooted with voodoo enabled and thought that it was a smooth operating device but the Dinc2 is much more fluid even with the stock GB and all the bloatware. The battery life is so much better as well - the Fascinate wasn't too bad when on standby, but once in use there is no comparison - the Dinc2 battery lasts at least twice as long.
The front facing camera is a big bonus now with the Skype video calling. The GPS locks instantly and the build quality looks much nicer. The reception looks pretty much the same but no mysteriously missed calls with the Dinc2.
Overall a noticeably better device - I really love the smoothness of the Dinc2 compared to the unexplainable sudden lags of the Fascinate even with voodoo enabled...

I came from a fassy as well. I did like the fassy but it was missing calls alot even more than I realized after talking with some family members that said its been hapening for a bit. I had the fassy on ComRom 2.1.So far I like the Inc2 alot. The phone feels like a real phone and it is nice and smooth. The only thing I'm having a problem with is battery life but I think its just cause I'm learing a new phone. But Yeah I have always liked HTC and glad I'm on this one now.

I have had my phone now fora couple days. Way ahead of the fascinate overall in almost every department. Almost 12 hours of use last night at work, off and on, and almost 50 percent left at the end of my shift.

My only complaint is that the speaker sucks! And nor kind ofa little bit, it sounds horrible!

Sigh...

I moved to this phone from a long line of
replacement fascinates. I got to the point of almost going to an old blackberry to hold me over until my contract ended. I do love the incredible 2.

You and I are on the same page. My fourth Fascinate would not boot last Thursday. Verizon wanted to send another one, but I said it's time to move on. I received a Certified Like New Incredible 2 on Monday. I am AMAZED at how much better this phone is than the Fascinate. Everything just seems to work like it is supposed to. The Fascinate always felt like a half baked product that was rushed out before all of the bugs were worked out.

I spent a few days on the Storm 2 between Thursday and Monday, and I'm glad that's over!

Im getting my Dinc2 tomorrow. Horrible track record with phones. First I had the Eris, went through 6 of those and I had to use my NE2 to get a Fascinate. Issues with it within the first 6 days. Took it back for a Droid X. Was a decent phone, until I started having issues. I wanted to love the Fascinate so much that I got one as a replacement to that. The soft keys were buggy and would not keep a data connection. Got another as a replacement. That one is having the same issues.

They were nice enough this time to give me a Dinc2. I love HTC and their phones are built well. Sense is amazing. I cant wait to get it tomorrow and ditch this huge heaping P O S Fascinate.

I think you will like it. Data is amazing on this phone. I use Podtrapper to grab podcasts over 3G - typically 70-90 MB of MP3 data. Fascinate crapped out every time while receiving the file, and the timeout made it necessary for Podtrapper to start from scratch. With the Incredible 2 the podcast files are just chugging right into the phone, no stalls, good 3G speed, night and day difference.

Another night and day difference I'm seeing is with 3G Wireless Hotspot. Fascinate would work fine for five minutes, then data stopped. Every single update applied, and no improvement. Reboot the hone and it comes back, but dies again after 5-10 minutes. With the Incredible, I can use the 3G Wireless Hotspot for hours - data just keeps chugging in, no stalls, even in areas with poor EVDO coverage.

This phone just works the way it's supposed to. So far VERY happy here.

I'm getting mine today...I will actually miss my fascinate.

I've been trying to find the best way to root the dinc2. Anyone know if xda or here has the easiest way?

Don't feel bad, you won't miss the Fascinate AT ALL once you've played with the Inc a bit. It's superior to the Fascinate in almost every possible way.

Follow the sticky in the rooting forum: http://forums.androidcentral.com/in...ide-root-gingerbread-your-incredible-2-a.html

It's very straight forward and by the end, you'll be rooted with s-off and Clockwork Recovery installed.

Best decision to date with phones.....Samsung was a bore and a drag. The best feature of the damn phone was the AMOLED screen. DInc2 is phenomenal !
