FWIW, I was in a corporate store this afternoon and was told that they expect LTE to be live across the city on the 18th this month. I'm not holding my breath though, after all this is Sprint we are talking about.

I have had my Evo for 4 days now and had a friend tell me my call was cutting in and out so I decided to do a PRL update and Profile update thinking this might help. After the update I noticed that my 3g symbol would come and go on the screen? My GF and I got the phones on the same day and she has had no problems because she did not do the update like I did. We were off Kirby in the same vehicle tonight when her phone had perfect 3g and mine didn't. After my updates I noticed that the mobile network kept disconnecting and connecting?? I could only get my calls and data not to drop if I keep my phone in CDMA only mode. We visited Sprint nearby and I was told by me doing the PRL update that's why my phone was dropping calls and not staying in 3g. Is any one else having this problem? I am new to Sprint and so far not impressed after years with Verizon (very dependable & fast LTE just too $$$) Thanks! My 3G was cutting in and out in Houston so I updated PRL and profile. I dunno if that has truly fixed the issue, but I haven't had trouble lately.

Once Sprint resets the phone will it default automatically to LTE/CDMA or will I have to go into the settings and toggle it back myself? Any one know who has done this? Thanks!!
Has your phone also cut out on 3g? mufflrd distorted calls and connrcting/disconnecting form network? Just curious?
I've had the phone for three days now in Southwest Houston suburbs.
3G speeds are AWFUL, just bloody awful...
SpeedTest app shows me getting 20-60kbps download and 100-300kbps upload.... not Mbps... kbps. If I'm lucky I'll get over 100kbps on download occasionally.

My old Epic4G had reasonable 3G speeds in the same locations.
In case none of you guys have heard ... here is an LTE timeline update for Houston
