Guys, I had the One X for a day but returned it. Now thinking of getting it again or a Nexus. My biggest issue was the keyboard. I could not type at all on it. The Nexus closely resembles my iPhones. yes this would be my first Android. Can anyone confirm if I can change the HTC's keyboard to ICS' stock one? I could type easily on the later. Thanks.
After this, I may switch my tablet. ;-)

From my findings...you can install pretty much any keyboard you want on most zny android phone. I have 6 different keayboards on my SGS2

look up ics keyboard in the market....it will type just like the nexus, also swiftkey beta 3 is friggin amazing and their new layout resembles the ics keyboard

I don't get it, I can click on any link in an e-mail and it opens the web browser.....

I've had almost every iPhone including the iPhone 4S (on VZW and ATT). I'm also coming from the Razr Maxx and Lumia 900.

This really is the best Android phone you can get right now. The Razr Maxx does have amazing battery life but that's not really a feature.... it's a quality of the phone. I think about the camera, the screen size, the display, the feel of the phone and ICS.... the HOX wins. I'm really loving this phone. Sense 4.0 takes a little bit of time to get used to but I like it.

The iPhone just really started to bore me. I'm an Apple user and iOS is stale. I like how you can do so much with Android. One example is buying music through Amazon ON your phone. I can download it and add it to my music library automatically. On iOS you can only do that with iTunes.

If you are speaking from a specifications point of view, then yes, One X is clearly the best Android phone available today, or at least until the Galaxy S III releases. That said, some people still like that stock Android experience enough to say that about the Galaxy Nexus. And to its credit it has far better customization liberties.

If your going to use an Android based device, it's always best to use the Gmail app.
And make sure that the web addresses are indeed links and not simply typed out.

I can't say I've switched entirely since I still use the 4s on my personal line, but I do find myself getting attached to the one X faster than I thought I would. The screen size, which seemed oversized at first, now seems like the perfect size.

My only real complaint is for apps that were ported over. They all seem like the ugly versions of their ios siblings, save for a few gems that look good and work well even on blackberries, lol.

There are some things that I have grown to expect from a modern smartphone like having a mobile rss reader, foursquare, and the usual social suspects. And android does deliver.

More importantly perhaps some patience needs to be exercised for new switchers as the learning curve is definitely steeper than that of ios

I had an iPhone 3GS since it came out and was really excited to switch to the HOX. The screen was fantastic and immediately made the 3GS look like something from the ancient past (which in a way it is). The camera quality and functionality was great, and I was finding most of the apps I wanted to continue to use worked great on Android. That said, I sent the phone back after a week of struggling with the crippled multitasking. I just couldn't wrap my head around pages/email/calendar apps relaunching usually to different places when I'd jump between apps. It's just maddening that you can't scroll half way through an email/webpage jump to send a text and then jump back to the same place you were. Hopping out of a game to make a phone call is out of the question as is listening to Pandora for more than a few songs while reading on Kindle. I just don't understand how my 3GS could do all of these things as could other friend's 2 year old HTC android devices... It's sad because I was loving the tight google calendar/gmail/voice integration. Hopefully the SGIII will be out soon and won't suffer from this.

Ok after going back to my iPhone 4 for a few hours and using that puny screen and slow internet I went back to my HOX with huge badass screen.

Just download a player from the Market that plays the formats you care about. There's no format that can't be played on Android.

I made the switch last week. I've been an iPhone user since it came out (thanks for unlimited 4g LTE!!)

I also have the latest iPad and that played a huge role in my switch. I never used my iPhone. Anything other than calls, I was using my iPad. Ultimately though, I just got really bored with the iPhone.

For the first couple of days, Android bugged the sh*i outta me. Getting it to do things the iPhone does right outta the box wasn't as easy as I thought it would be but I managed.

All said and done, there's a few things that still bug me about the phone. I'll start with that:

1. Is there any way for the phone to make a sound when I put it to sleep or wake? I'm just use to clicking the iPhone sleep button and hearing a sound.

2. So far, there is no way, or I haven't found a way, to view html emails in full. I have to scroll around to view parts of emails. Basically I can't "zoom out"

3. The fact you can't get high resolution images to show in contacts is ridiculous. What's the point of an amazing screen then? Someone calls and all I see is their pixelated face.

4. App switching, which I thought would be better doesn't seem like it since every time I switch apps, it reloads.

5. Same as above with internet tabs, it reloads the page. Blah.

Now the good stuff:

1. Widgets. I thought they would be gimmicks, just like the widgets on a mac lol. But they're actually quite useful. I love being able to turn off wifi, gps, bluetooth with a single touch on the homescreen. Or adjust brightness, go in airplane mode, put to silent, or de-select auto rotate.

2. The screen. It's large and gorgeous and I can leave my iPad at home and not feel like I wish I had it. It's also great in daylight.

3. Fluid and smooth. I've handled android based phones in the past and always felt like it lagged and wasn't as responsive as the iPhone. While the iPhone is still a bit better in that department, the gap isn't a deal breaker.

4. HTC - interface is beautiful. I'm a typography freak and this kills samsung in the looks department.

5. Phone body, love it.

6. Camera - though on the HTC screen the colors seem to be a bit over saturated, they're not and the camera is fast and quality is great.

7. Navigation is pretty awesome

I switched from my iPhone 4s to a HTC One X a few days ago. I have always been a die hard iPhone user, so this is huge for me. LOVE a few things about the HTC like cursor thing to add to text, love SWIFT KEY for texting. Photos are good, but having trouble getting them on my mac. I did find something called SALLING SOFTWARE for putting my iTunes music and photos on my HTC. I have 30 days to decide, and it is proving to be a very tough decision. The screen size is amazing!
Biggest concern is getting all the pics I take on to my mac. Anyone figured out how to deal with this?
Im really enjoying my HTC, just want to be sure I can transfer stuff to my computer before I decide for sure.
