one thing holding me back is i like the wide camera on the lg. and prefer flat screen since i can use a tempered protector.....

ok. well yesterday samsung was offering 425 trade in credit on the lg v20.
just checked now and they lowered it to 300. guess i'll stick with my lg. lol

oops. i had to click on my email for the special trade in offer for note 7 users.
just bought it. :)

So far, I really like it. Miss the wide angle lens on the front camera, but not the blurry pictures.

I gave my V20 to my son. I don't really miss anything, except maybe the quad dac. But the Note 8 has pretty good sound.

Still adjusting to the Note aspect ratio though...

I got the V20 after I had to return the note 7, it definitely is a solid device but I'm really happy to be back on a note. The second screen was cool, but not necessary. Wide angle second lens was also cool, it obviously had its perks. I agree getting used to the aspect ratio takes a minute but you get used to it fast

Overall I'm very happy with it over the V20

I like the V20, so I decided to buy a used G4 on eBay to trade in and I will keep my V20. I got the G4 in mint condition with the black leather back for $79 shipped.

Ordered the N8 today after a few weeks of frustration with my V20. Was a great device for a while but experienced some lagging and apps freezing in the past few weeks. Was all the convincing I needed.

I will never knock the V20. It was a great replacement at the time of the N7 crisis. However that crisis is over. The N8 is so far beyond the V20 it's not fair to compare. However for a few months the V20 was a great loaner vehicle.

I began having lag/crashing issues with mine intermittently, not super often but was still an annoyance. Even after a hard reset I still had them occasionally.

If IR blaster, quad DAC, wide angle lens, 2nd screen, and removable battery doesn't matter that much to you, then...

I had an LG v20 after my note 7. Definitely worth it to get the note 8. It's much better than the v20. By a lot.

I won't miss the V20 that much. I can't stand LG's software, and I've had Bluetooth issues since I bought the phone. Really wish my Note 8 would hurry up and get here.

lg has horrible software and also nothing special to set it apart. my wifi would constantly disconnect to the point it made me wonder if my router was bad... now with my note 8, i know it was just that phone. sometimes i couldn't make a call until i rebooted my phone. I'm loving my note 8
