Any iPhone switchers conflicted about the Note 10?

I am pretty sure Iphone users are locked to Imessages for SMS. At least they were when I last tried an Iphone.

iMessage and SMS are two different things. Most bundle them together because they work side-by-side within the same app without any extra effort from the user.

I too always own a droid and iDevice.

I prefer notifications on Android and am not overly bothered by iMessage.

The one thing that Samsung has not nailed yet is the balance between features and bloat, there always seems to be so much running in the background vs other droids. I still think Samsung’s are the best droids but google do not need to do much with the pixel to change that for me, likewise OnePlus.

What other sms apps can they use? I'm not being a jerk, I'm legitimately curious.

They can't. It sounded as if you thought iMessage touched SMS and messed with it. I see now you are trying to say the app is the only thing.

I am coming from an XS Max. I actually had it for a whole year. That is the first time in a long time I have kept a phone that long. It was a very good phone. I have always liked the Note series and thought this switch would be a no brainer.

I have reservations about this device. Not a fan of the bloatware (although I have removed most I don't care for) and I am not a fan of the fps. It is very janky at times.

I have considered going back to the new iPhone but don't want to refinance my house to do so. I like the iPhone's but they are just getting too damn expensive.

I will stick this out for a handful of months more to see if Samsung can make the proper improvements. In the back of my mind I really want to go back to an iPhone though as it was just easy and worked. Face ID was legit also.

I agree with you on that. Face ID was a no brainers. Loved just picking up my iPhone and going. The FPS on the Note is taking me some time to get use to.

I don’t think Apple is restrictive at all. You can use FB messenger and what’s app on iPhone. You can even change your default apps. Pics and gifs definitely don’t send fine on any Android in the United States. They send an 850KB photo. How is that quality? And gifs... forget about it. I have to use FB messenger to send photos to my wife or vis versa. iMessage is amazing and google needs to put their foot down.

FB messenger and What’s app. iMessage is like a SMS but sent to iOS users from iOS. iMessages do not integrate with anything that I know of. But let’s say 2 people are texting and both have iPhones. It won’t be iMessage if one is using what’s app. It will convert to SMS.

Speaking of iMessage, I find the whole ‘blue bubble vs green bubble’ quite pathetic and hilarious. Why should I care about what colour my text message’s bubble is if functionality isn’t really affected?

Idk. I like green personally. Choice is a great thing except for me... I’m indecisive. :(

I don't know what it is, but the last couple days I've been enjoying my Note more and more. Nothing has really changed, so not sure why. I use my iPhone for 3 things. HQ Trivia, a group iMessage I'm in that I can't do on
Android, and to keep my Apple Watch paired.

Yes, my iPhone X is mainly, now, my Apple Watch pair. Curious thing, the most interesting gadget in the Apple world for me, now, is the Apple Watch.

It's the only thing that keeps me going back to iOS. For me there is no better smart watch.

I have a iPhone 11 pro Max and I like it. I really do like it but there is something missing. I love the battery life and I love the screen and I love the speed of this device. But I just can’t put my finger on it. It’s something about Apple I’ve never liked. Every time I get an iPhone I feel good about it but only months later I’m ready for something new, but that was also true of the early Android phones. When I got my note 8 I didn’t think I would like it that much but I did. I got it on release day that she’s been my baby. No issues at all and I’ve been pleased. That’s the longest I’ve ever had a phone and t surprised me. I think the main think I dislike about this iPhone is that I don’t trust an Intel modem, the weight and that feeling that something is missing. And no it’s no the S pen LOL. I could definitely keep this iPhone and it would serve me extremely well. I have always loved iMessage and I really want and Apple Watch.

I wil likely return this phone either way as it’s a 64GB model but I’m still not sure I want the note10+. I love the screen and even the phones with demo mode seem crazy fast in store thanks to the UFS 3.0. Idk guys, it’s a tough decision bc I use the phone for work and play. I don’t use the S pen much but I do enjoy it when I do.

I don't care about the color. It could be orange and pink for all I care.

I care about functionality.

I would've never switched to an iPhone if it wasn't for the Apple watch. Once i heard there definitely wouldn't be a pixel watch this year i picked up an 11. I do actually love my galaxy watch though. The Apple Watch touts 18 hr battery life, and I’m over here getting 4 to 5 days on my gw. Too bad the app selection is non existent for it.
