Okays so I've been waiting for the HTC Merge as soon as I got wind of it. Well it's only 25 days left till the new year and Verizon and HTC Still haven't said a peep about the device, even when Phil did a preview of the device IN HIS HANDS!
I will be upset if it comes out later in 2011 with 4G service. Because I was hoping that this would be the latest, hottest device before Verizon would start up their LTE network. Perhaps then, I wouldn't have to pay for 4G whether because:
1) I didn't have LTE in my area
or
2) I didn't want to unwillingly pay for 4G speeds.
But if I'm going to have to pay for 4G, I want a better phone than what the merge is. I'd still want a landscape qwerty-slider, but I'd want it to have a 4" high-res screen, a decent dual-core processor, a 1500-2000 mAH battery, front facing camera and at least a 5MP cam w/ dual flash that can record 720p.
Is/will there be a 4G qwerty-slider that has specs similar or can compete with something like the HTC Mecha or Knight?
